Storage of waterproof materials in winter

1.1 Waterproof membranes
1) Indoor storage. During storage, the product shall be placed in a warm and dry place, and there shall be no water in the warehouse. If possible, it is better to do moisture-proof treatment.
2) In cold areas, the warehouse shall be properly heated and insulated, and special attention shall be paid to the preservation of materials, which can be covered or insulated with tarpaulin, tarpaulin, etc.
3) In cold weather, the material will hard. Pay attention not to throw it down from a high place to avoid cracking of the material.

1.2 Waterproof coating
The paint shall be uniformly placed in the room and stacked by classification. Oily paint and water-based paint shall be stacked by zones as far as possible to ensure that the indoor temperature is above 5 ℃. When the temperature is low, heating or electric heating must be used to raise the indoor temperature. It is forbidden to use open fire to raise the indoor temperature. The paint that is not used up in the construction should be placed indoors. The frozen products may affect the subsequent construction, or even cannot be used.

Environmental requirements for construction of waterproof materials in winter

1 Waterproof membrane
1.1 Modified asphalt waterproof membrane
1) It is strictly forbidden to construct and store waterproof coiled materials in rainy days, snowy days and strong winds above Grade 5.
2) The construction temperature of elastomer modified asphalt waterproof membrane shall not be lower than – 10 ℃, and the construction temperature of wet paving waterproof membrane shall not be lower than 5 ℃.

1.2 Self-adhesive waterproof membrane material
1) In order to ensure the waterproof performance of the material, the membrane core position shall avoid rapid uncoiling during winter construction, which may lead to cracks and other phenomena of the material. In order to ensure the construction quality, during the actual construction of self-adhesive membrane, the temperature of the base course and the main body of the membrane shall not be lower than 5 ℃, because the low temperature of the base course and the main body of the membrane may reduce the bonding performance of the self-adhesive coiled material.
2) In cold weather, the coiled material will have poor adhesion when tearing the isolation film. If construction is still needed, it may be necessary to increase the fire baking process to improve the adhesion of the coiled material.

2. Waterproof coating
1) When the temperature is too low, the surface and dry time of the oily waterproof coating will be long, and the product may appear thicker, which will not affect the normal construction after full mixing.
2) The storage temperature for coating construction should be between 5 and 35 ℃, and the temperature should not be lower than 5 ℃, otherwise the water-based coating is easy to be demulsified, and cannot be recovered after demulsification and cannot be used.
3) The waterproof coating should be used up in a short time after being unpacked, and should not be stored for a long time.
4) The curing shall be carried out for 2 to 3 days after construction, and the rain, frost or low temperature below 0 ℃ shall be avoided within 48 hours.
