1. Cement mortar

Cement mortar is suitable for relatively stable structures. It is non-toxic, harmless and pollution-free. It can be directly applied to the concrete surface and firmly bonded. After two hours of construction, it can be directly tiled. The disadvantage is the lack of elasticity after film formation, which will affect the waterproofness due to the dislocation or settlement of the building.

2. Polyurethanes

Polyurethanes can be used indoors and outdoors. After painting, the thickness is about 3 mm, and the elastic tension is more than 300%. The cracking of the substrate will not cause it to crack, so its waterproof performance is the best. The disadvantage is that it smells big and is not environmentally friendly.

3. JS waterproof coating

JS waterproof coating is a rigid and flexible two-component waterproof material. It is environmentally friendly, non-toxic, odorless, breathable, firmly adheres to the base surface and dries quickly. The disadvantage is that it has poor UV resistance and is only suitable for bathrooms and basements.

4. Acrylic

Acrylics are pure liquids, non-toxic, harmless, non-flammable, ready-to-use, soluble in water, easy to combine with cracks on the wall, and form a solid waterproof layer. The performance characteristics are stable, the application effect is ideal, and the price is relatively Friendly, so it is more common in decoration waterproofing projects.

In terms of waterproof performance only: polyurethanes> acrylics> JS waterproof coatings> cement mortars.

However, because polyurethane-based waterproof materials are mixed in the market, if the quality is not up to standard, it is very unfriendly to the environment, so it must be identified as authentic when purchasing. Acrylic and JS waterproof coatings are the most commonly used in decoration, not only environmentally friendly but also cost-effective.
