Different building parts have different requirements for waterproof materials. Each material has its own strengths and weaknesses. It is impossible for a material to be used anywhere in the world. There is no good material for use anywhere. The materials can only be complementary and cannot be replaced, and each has its own merits.
Roof waterproofing and basement waterproofing require different material properties, while bathroom waterproofing and wall waterproofing are more different. Slope roofing and complex roofing are also different. When selecting materials, they should be carefully considered.

Roof waterproofing layer
The roof waterproofing layer is exposed to nature, exposed to hot sunlight, gusty winds, rain and snow erosion, severe cold and hot temperature, long and cold temperature changes, repeated expansion and contraction, no good materiality and good protection measures. It is difficult to achieve the required endurance.
Therefore, waterproof materials with high tensile strength, high elongation and good aging resistance should be selected, such as high polymer modified bitumen membrane, EPDM membrane, P-type PVC membrane (weld joint), one-component polyurethane coating (plus protective layer).

Wall waterproofing
Why the wall leaks, because the current wall is too thin, mostly for light brick masonry, a lot of internal and external joints, and then the joint between the door and the window and the wall, the seal is not strict, the rain is infiltrated into the seam.
Wall waterproofing can not be used with membranes, only paint, and combined with exterior decoration materials. Only the sealing paste can solve the problem in the window sill.

Underground building waterproofing
The underground waterproof layer is immersed in water or very moist soil for many years, and the waterproof material must have good water resistance. It is not possible to use a membrane made of a perishable carcass. The waterproof layer of the bottom plate is thick and has a waterproof material that is resistant to the puncturing ability.
It is best to laminate 6mm~8mm thick. If synthetic polymer membranes are used, it is best to heat weld joints. If the adhesive is used, the glue should have excellent water resistance, otherwise the best membrane can not be used. Use waterproof coatings with caution. The thick main 2.5mm is used alone, and the thickness of the composite material is 2mm thick.

Bathroom waterproofing
Bathroom waterproofing has three characteristics. First, it is not affected by the natural climate, the temperature does not change much, and the elongation rate of the material is not high. Second, the area is small, the inside and outside corners are more, and the floor slabs are more. The third is the tiling on the wall waterproof layer. The affinity of the binding agent is good.
According to the above three characteristics, the membrane can not be selected, only the coating is most suitable, and the cement-based acrylate coating is the most suitable in the coating, and the tile can be firmly adhered on the surface.

Overpass waterproofing
There are more and more neutral bridges in urban construction, and reinforced concrete beams and slabs must be waterproof to extend their service life.
As the high temperature bitumen concrete pavement is laid on the waterproof layer, the waterproof layer should withstand a high temperature of 110 °C. Bitumen coating or APP modified bitumen membrane should be chosen.
