JS waterproof coating is a powder-liquid two-component product, which means that the on-site construction personnel need to complete the final process of product production-mixing and phase separation. From this we can see that the performance of JS waterproof coating has a direct relationship with the degree of uniform mixing of liquid and powder. If the JS waterproof coating is not stirred in strict accordance with the product instructions, it is likely that the performance of the coating film will be greatly reduced due to incomplete mixing and phase separation.

However, although the manufacturer ’s instructions and packaging specify the correct method for on-site mixing of JS waterproof coatings, in the actual operation process, many construction teams are perfunctory, not only did not use a special mixer, even to find a few on-site The stick is manually stirred a few times, which seriously affects the performance of the cured coating film.

Therefore, it must be noted that when using JS waterproof coating, you need to prepare tools such as a mixer, a mixing bucket, and a measuring cup for material mixing. In addition to complying with the manufacturer’s recommended mixing ratio, do not add water to the JS waterproof coating. The method is to first pour the liquid material into the mixing bucket, and slowly add the powder into the mixing bucket under continuous stirring by the hand mixer, and stir for at least 5 minutes. Thoroughly stir evenly. . (It is better not to use manual stirring, it is easy to cause powder agglomeration because of insufficient speed.)

In addition, the stirred JS waterproof coating must be painted within 2 hours, otherwise it will affect the hydration reaction of the cement and make it less than the original strength and adhesion. After finishing the proportioning, apply the primer on the base surface of the roller brush. Technically, it is required to roll evenly and not to expose the bottom.
